She took a load of fresh flowers to the farmer's market and while she was chatting with a customer, someone left a perfect red rose on the driver's seat of her truck...
I loved bad boy Lucas Leighton so much that he appeared in two of my steamy "Me" stories, plus he has his very own too-hot-to-handle book, Ice Flambé...
Before coronavirus changed life as we know it (and resulted in empty store shelves), I discovered a recipe for milk-free/egg-free pancakes because the only times I seem to have milk and eggs on hand is when I buy it for a specific recipe. I wanted a handy-dandy recipe I could whip up when a pancake mood struck me, using stuff I've always got lounging around in the pantry. Anywho, turns out I love the dairy-free pancakes even better than any other ones I've tried. Now that ingredients are sparse at the grocery store, I thought I'd share a couple of my dairy-free favorites so you can enjoy them when the craving strikes, too!
Throughout the years, I've posted playlists to go with some of the books I've published because music often plays a big role in the inspiration process. Certain characters listen to specific music and sometimes a song's lyrics can sum up the theme of a book better than I ever could.
While writing Ice Flambé, it was impossible not to think of Lucas and Morgana while Jared Leto belted out hauntingly beautiful lyrics for 30 Seconds to Mars. I listened to Agnes Obel while writing Island Ice and even mentioned the song "Smoke & Mirrors" in the book. "Let Go" by Safetysuit could be the theme song for Home Ice. Learning how to let go was a main theme in the book and I find it funny that I heard the song long after I wrote the book.
So anyway, I thought it'd be fun to share some of those songs with you on Spotify where you can listen for yourself just how moving the power of music can be. Here is the link to the playlists on Spotify and you can also click on the book covers below...
I've also included a few of my personal favorites...
